The Naked Adventurer is planning a new adventure! Details coming soon. Thank you for your support and interest.

The Woodvale Solo class rowing boat is an evolution in the concept of ocean rowing boat design. Utalising the ultra-fast Adkin hull profile, the cabin tooling has been developed to give the serious solo rower, the comfort and stowage to complete extended ocean crossings.

ABOUT THE BOAT

The cabin volumes make the boat aggressively self-righting and the lowered aft cabin floor means that there is ample space not to stoop while taking shelter. The boat is designed to have less windage than the original Woodvale pairs boat and the addition of a centre board means that the boat can be rowed into weather.

The boat will be approximately 7m in length and a mere 6 feet wide. There is a cabin in the stern 6ft long and 3 feet at its highest point for sleeping and storing gear with a smaller cabin in the bow for storing the remainder of equipment and food.

Although this boat is small, it is specially designed to handle rough ocean conditions and in the event of a capsize, it is designed to automatically right itself.
